Markos Untzeta and Robert Johnson across the Mississippi

May 19, 2011

The
rush
is
not usually
good travel companion, not when the road is long to make. Markos Untzeta (Eibar, Gipuzkoa, 1970) has learned in his musical career to take things in stride, assuming the role of outsider mentioned in one of his songs. After releasing two albums steeped in classic American rockGauaren basamortuan (Gaztelupeko Hotsak, 2002) and Zenbat euri (Hirusta, 2006) has invested a lot of patience and four years of work in his third recording, but you can rest assured the result says all.

Mississippi is a great step forward in the path of Untzeta, the album contains his best compositions, stylistically varied and richer in soundarrangements
and never sounded so accessible and also so true to the roots
