JVERA: Second delivery of a seasoned bassist
Alternating moments almost in the style of a jam session with others subject to the score -mainly in the media time-Vera has achieved a balanced disk, where the term "merger" takes on positive connotations for once. The atmosphere is steeped in jazz funk, Afro-Caribbean and Mediterranean colors, of electricity. "Butterfly" leaves a pleasant aftertaste that forces us to listen again and again, almost the best that can be said of any disk.
Jose Vera boasts curriculum. The Majorcan bassist is credited with countless sessions as accompanist for some of the most popular artists of the peninsula (Deborah Carter, revolver, Luis Eduardo Aute, Carlos Nunez, Antonio Vega, Ismael Serrano, Quique Gonzalez, Concha Buika, Pasión Vega ...), but with the release of Butterfly, it is time to claim for itself a deserved prominence in first person.
BUTTERFLY LIVE QUARTET are: PEDRO BARCELO (Drums)- JACOB SUREDA (Keyboard)- ARIEL BRINGUEZ (Saxophone)- JOSE VERA (Bass)
