JIMMI ARRABIT TRIO: the world of jazz and traditional melodies

Nov 16, 2009

The experiment and versatile drummer Jimmy Arrabit (Itoiz, King Mafrundi, Sustrai ...) is the soul of the trio. The arrangements and the progressions that have been created to compose the pieces of his debut album are designed from the perspective of the drummer, but there is no a dictatorship of the battery. The temporary space is well balanced for the three instruments, and Fred Feuga's  piano and Xabi Hayet's bass dance perfectly to the sound of the rhythm of Arrabit.

The recording was put in circulation these days and they are live on the circuit Blues-Jazz of Bizkaia (See agenda)

It is the first album that Jimmy Arrabit created using the language of jazz, and it shows also that has sucked much of that culture. That has sucked from the source of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans ... But, above any consideration made through the prism of gender, Arrabit proves once again that he is a drummer born, SUV. And besides courage wisdom, to his credit. One thing is that an a priori approach is interesting, and otherwise perform such

approach of a very convincing way.
