Absorbing atmospheres

April 2, 2013

Made up of 9 tracks with an
American aroma, its main ingredients are blues, folk and rock. It reminds one
of the sound tracks of Ennio
Morricone
, has echoes of Ry Cooder Jimi Hendrix or Frank
Zappa
, and hypnotic rhythms… He forms a One-man band with the collaboration of Felix Buff (Willis
Drummond) on drums and percussion and Raúl García (Mugaldekoak) with the
musical saw. Contributions that take this proposal to fresh sonorities. Successful
atmospheres that absorb the listener.

The guitar continues to be his
essential instrument, but in this work, he also uses percussion, drums,
mandolin, banjo and a long list of undefinable instruments. There had already been
brushstrokes of this type on previous EPs and demos, but we can take this “Instroak Vol.2” as Joseba B.
Lenoir’s first serious long album.
