| The sounds of blues has been traditionally well-received in Euskal Herria. At times accompanied by rock sounds with guitarist and virtuoso bands, or through the harmonic format of, for example, John Mayall.
It would have been the beginning of the 90's when we started to get bands and music from more nearby places like Madrid, Andalusia or Galicia transmitting that blues essence and who performed in our towns and even left a mark on some of our local groups.
As a result the Gaztelupeko Hotsak label came into being with the idea of bringing out a first blues album, to be followed by others, and managing to compile a short but intense catalogue of artists like:
