They are from Gernika, a litle town of Biscay that It’s been situated on the world map by bombardments.They could be from Chicago, Philadelphia, Amsterdam, or from many other parts of the world, with no worries. But no. Audience has known how to carve out with effort and loving care a musical and artistic career which is praiseworthy. Just for their musical concern and because of the fact that they are keen to take risks in a coherent way, makes them being deserving of an important place in the riskiest rock’s scene of the state. They began in the year 99, publishing a brilliant demo tape which was sold out.right away and that it got excellent criticisms of the media. It was their first selfproduccion and It helped them to get through the final of the famous pop-rock quiz Show, Villa de Bilbao 2000. Soon afterwards, they would recod their second demo tape, a previous step of what It would be their debut EP, in September of 2001 which was published by the Majorcan company “Primeros pasitos”. After that they would release in february of the 2002 their album “Some Lovely Hands On Dry Skins, a record that has made them travell all around the peninsula, and play with very important international bands. Audience is gainig identity and a whole world of possibilities is opening up before them. In october of the 2004 the second album called “Second Handed” was out, , This record supposed the first reference of the new subrecord label, NoizPop. Right away, they would begin a promotinal tour which would bring them throughout the peninula. In the concerts people could enjoy with their songs, but also of an audiovisual stunt, that reflected the artistic concept of the band.

Audience’s music is a crossing of different styles well put together. It is hard to define in a clear and transparent way the style and songs of the band. Sometimes by way of soundtrack, you can easily see or imagine portraits, scenaries, moments… The wit of their music resides in creating different feelings in each song. They’re not the usual kind of band. Using different instruments, they know how to combine several sonorities and to recreate moments. Styles like the blues, rock and their own and so personal artistic sensibility are mixed in a fine display of creativity. Their songs are photographs that reflectt as much the reality as an imaginarium world, full of chacarters, moments, situations and emotions. The fashion design of Ry Cooder, the boggiest blues, the grace and the heat of the surly rock or the artistic conception of Velvet Underground, are one element more of all those that we could add to talk about the music of AUDIENCE, the welll understood underground.
